Certifications the market can actually verify
Open Badges 3.0-compatible with public verification, lockdown exams and passive integrity, rubrics and an API for boards — without claiming what the platform doesn't do.
Short answer
Studeia is the platform for professional certification: issue Open Badges 3.0-compatible credentials (W3C VC model) with public verification (URL + API); run exams with lockdown, passive integrity and psychometric analytics; and grade with rubrics. Honest limits: cryptographic signature and active webcam proctoring are roadmap/integration (LTI); B2C checkout is not native (use Stripe/Asaas).
What stalls a certification program
A credential only matters if it's verifiable, the exam is fair, and it's easy to integrate with whoever recognizes it.
Certificates nobody can check
A loose PDF proves nothing — recruiters and boards can't confirm authenticity.
Exams without integrity
Without lockdown or integrity signals, the assessment loses credibility.
Grades without clear criteria
Subjective grading with no rubric leads to disputes and rework.
Manual integration with boards
With no API, validating credentials with boards and employers becomes spreadsheets and email.
Issue and prove credentials
Open Badges 3.0-compatible
Each credential produces JSON-LD using the W3C Verifiable Credential model + a public verification page and Schema.org EducationalOccupationalCredential (discoverable by Google/LinkedIn). Cryptographic signature (proof) and the native LinkedIn button are on the roadmap — today sharing is via public URL.
Lockdown exams
Safe Exam Browser or the StudeiaMobile app, IP whitelist and per-exam access code; configurable max attempts, time limit and shuffling.
Passive integrity
QuizAttempt records tab switches, copy/paste, blur, time and anomalies, IP and user-agent — with inline flags in the gradebook so the admin decides (void, keep, retake).
Psychometric analytics
Difficulty, point-biserial discrimination, distractor analysis and Cronbach's alpha to validate exam reliability and drop weak items.
Rubric grading
Structured grades with multi-criteria rubrics for consistent, auditable scoring.
Public API for integrations
List badges via the institutional API (gamification:read scope) and validate a specific credential on the public verification route — or trigger boards via webhook when a learner completes.

From course to verifiable certificate
- 1
1. Build content and question bank
Import questions (GIFT/CSV), reuse across exams and organize by bank.
- 2
2. Configure the certification exam
Set lockdown, access code, attempts, time, passing score and review mode.
- 3
3. Run it with integrity
The platform records passive signals and produces psychometric analytics to validate the exam.
- 4
4. Issue the verifiable credential
Passers receive an OB 3.0-compatible badge with public verification page/API.
- 5
5. Integrate with who recognizes it
Boards and employers validate via public API/URL; webhooks notify completion.
What Studeia does — and what's integration
Transparency is part of the product: credentials are Open Badges 3.0-compatible (W3C VC data model) and verifiable via public URL and API, but the cryptographic signature (proof) is still on the roadmap — authenticity today is established by resolving the credential against the platform registry. Exam integrity is passive (tab switches, copy/paste, time, IP); active webcam proctoring is not native — integrate Examity/ProctorU/Honorlock over LTI 1.3 when required. There is no native B2C checkout: B2B billing uses Stripe/Asaas; for affiliates/marketplace, use an external front end + Studeia as the LMS via API. We also don't support SCORM — the path is IMS Common Cartridge + LTI 1.3.
Frequently asked questions
Does Studeia issue verifiable certificates?+
Yes, via JSON-LD compatible with Open Badges 3.0 (W3C Verifiable Credential model). Each credential has a public verification page + Schema.org EducationalOccupationalCredential. Authenticity is established by resolving the public URL/API against the platform registry; the cryptographic signature (proof) and native LinkedIn button are on the roadmap.
Is there proctoring to prevent exam fraud?+
Native passive integrity: tab switches, copy/paste, blur, time and anomalies, IP and user-agent, with flags in the gradebook. Lockdown via Safe Exam Browser/app, IP whitelist and access code. Active webcam/microphone proctoring is NOT native — integrate Examity/ProctorU/Honorlock over LTI 1.3 for certifications that require it.
Can I integrate with professional boards?+
Via the public API: list badges with the institutional API (gamification:read scope) and validate a specific credential on the public verification route. Webhooks can notify the board on completion. Direct integration with each board's own system requires development.
Can I charge for the certificate/course?+
For B2B (institution charges learners), Stripe and Asaas are natively integrated. B2C checkout with affiliates/marketplace is not native — use an external front end (e.g., a marketplace) + Studeia as the LMS via API.
How much does it cost?+
Per-student plans range from R$250/mo (up to 10) to R$1,500/mo (up to 100), with Enterprise for larger volumes. Start with the free demo account.
