Test-prep & exam coaching
The platform for test-prep schools that take results seriously
Mock exams with IRT (2PL) proficiency scoring, per-item psychometrics, a per-subject AI tutor and gamification — so students arrive prepared and engaged.
Short answer
Studeia is a platform for test-prep and exam coaching: run mock exams with an IRT (2PL) proficiency score (0–1000 scale), see per-item psychometrics (difficulty, discrimination, distractors, Cronbach's alpha), import a question bank, offer a per-subject AI tutor grounded in your material, and use gamification to keep students studying through exam day.
What hurts when you prep students for high-stakes exams
Results depend on measuring well, grading fast and keeping students studying for months.
A score that says little
Raw percent-correct doesn't tell apart who nailed the hard items from who got the easy ones.
Items with no analysis
Without knowing which items discriminate or have weak distractors, the exam never improves.
After-hours questions
Office hours don't scale to hundreds of students near exam day.
Mid-way dropout
Months of study are tiring — without engagement, students disappear before the exam.
Features built for high performance
IRT (2PL) proficiency score
Beyond percent-correct, the platform calibrates items (2PL logistic model) and estimates student proficiency on a 0–1000 scale, rewarding correct answers on harder items.
Per-item psychometrics
Difficulty, discrimination (point-biserial), distractor analysis and Cronbach's alpha to improve each mock exam with data.
Importable question bank
Import questions in GIFT and CSV, reuse across mock exams and generate variations.
Per-subject AI tutor
24/7 support grounded in course material (RAG), detecting recurring misconceptions and proposing targeted review.
Gamification and leaderboards
XP, study streaks, badges, contests and leaderboards to keep momentum through exam day.
Parent portal
Progress reports and alerts — especially useful for younger students.

How the proficiency score works (and what it really is)
When a mock exam accumulates enough responses, Studeia calibrates each item with the 2PL logistic model (discrimination + difficulty) from real responses and estimates the student's proficiency (θ) via EAP, mapped to a 0–1000 scale. Until there are enough responses to calibrate, we show the classical score (percent-correct). In other words: it's an IRT-based (2PL) proficiency measure — honest about the model, without claiming a specific national 3PL equating.
Frequently asked questions
Is Studeia suitable for test-prep schools?▾
Yes. You run mock exams with an IRT (2PL) proficiency score (0–1000 scale), analyze each item with psychometrics (difficulty, discrimination, distractors, Cronbach's alpha), import a question bank, offer a per-subject AI tutor and use gamification to keep engagement through exam day.
Is the proficiency score a full national IRT equating?▾
It's an IRT-based proficiency measure using the 2PL logistic model (discrimination + difficulty), with θ estimated via EAP and a 0–1000 scale. It is not a specific national 3PL equating (which adds a guessing parameter and its own scaling). When there aren't enough responses to calibrate, we use the classical percent-correct score.
Can I import my question bank?▾
Yes. Studeia imports questions in GIFT and CSV, lets you reuse them across mock exams and organize them by bank. Questions can carry concepts to feed adaptive learning.
How do you keep students studying for months?▾
With native gamification: XP, study streaks, badges, contests and leaderboards. The per-subject AI tutor also lowers the friction of asking questions at any time.
How much does it cost for a test-prep school?▾
Per-student plans range from R$250/mo (up to 10) to R$1,500/mo (up to 100), with Enterprise for larger volumes. Start with the free demo account.
